This premier holiday shopping event features over 40 unique antique, artisan and agriculture merchants from the region. Items range from vintage and maritime collectibles to handmade apparel and license plate art.
The Cottage Book Shop booth hosts Leelanau artists who personally sign their books. Lois Beardslee demonstrates her quill/birch bark art and signs her book,Women’s Warrior Society and Lies to Live By; Author Jerry Dennis and illustrator Glenn Wolff sign their book,The Windward Shore: Great Lakes in the Winter; and John Mitchell signs his book, Grand Traverse: The Civil War Era and Wood Boats of Leelanau. Don Butkovich, Dennos Museum appraiser, is on site all day for verbal appraisals. Attendees are encouraged to bring their items to learn the value and history of their treasures.
The highly acclaimed, Santa in Fishtown painting by Rozanne Priebe (image shown), is available for purchase the day of the event or advance copies may be reserved by calling the Vintage Cottage. Black Star Farms offers special holiday designed bottles of their Red House Wine starting the day of the event and through the holidays.
A percentage of the proceeds for the painting and wine benefit the Fishtown Preservation Society.
There is no admittance fee. A strolling luncheon is available all day, along with wine tasting, sweet table and appetizers throughout the Inn, the Hearth and Vine Cafe and the Winery and Creamery.
