I was the first to run the race barefoot and finish without stopping or walking … first runner over 65 to run the race barefoot … finished first for barefoot runners … finished second in my age group 65-70 …
It was a fun race with great people and a wonderful breakfast afterwards … highly recommend this race … Fishtown is great fun.
Thank you for including dogs in the run. It was very humid this year and fewer dogs showed up, but Lambchops just loved it after her pre-run dip in the lake. I thank all runners for sharing the road with the 4 legged runners who might get side tracked once or twice during the run and cut others off, or lick a knee. I Have one suggestion, make an announcement before starting the run, “faster runners to the front and walkers in the back”. Lambchops thanks you for not using a starting gun!
